PictureMe with my Jesus in Blue at the Art of the Garden
That's me at at the Shack Art Center's Art of the Garden show,  my most recent participation in a gallery show, in over 20 years (since college)... granted, just one of my paintings, but still, I felt honored to be featured on such a beautiful wall of paintings and sculpture!

My new 'career' path is exciting and exhilarating! I am digging the whole experience and am excited to be supported by my community to continue to work in this field.  My recent open studio at Gasworks Gallery was gangbusters as well and again, thank you to all who came and gave me such wonderful feedback!

Today, for me, is about taking a bit of an aside from my own painting work.  I am preparing my studio&works, for some ceiling updates which have to be done in order for me to get to my planned big pours. My work is at a good stage to step back and really check it out.

So, as I take pause to collect my thoughts and do an inventory, I am reminded to look outwards and take in the world. Which is, exactly what these guys, Authors of MarriedwithLuggage.com, Warren and Betsy Talbot, are doing for the past few years -- all out. They are on this radical life journey, on which they are finding the art of, well...it all. Life.

All of my life, from my earliest memories as I child, I have felt as though I view the world through some sort of magical frame. To this day I carry that feeling, as though I can look anywhere and see beauty, see nature and objects sparking. Even in a garbage-strewn alley, I can see the poetry of the place, as a breathing image right there on the lenses of my eyes.
